A roundup of affordable ‘real touch’ faux Christmas greens for 2021. It’s November 1st and I’m barely over my Halloween sugar hangover but the holiday season is upon us and it’s time to start shopping. With stock issues and shipping delays now is the time to get your Holiday decor, especially those faux greens which usually sell out by mid November.
I love adding Christmas cheer to our house well before December and faux greenery allows you to start decorating without the fear of fresh greens dying. When searching for faux greenery I look for the description ‘real touch’ which in my opinion gives you the most realistic product. I also look for affordability so sometimes that means you have to string lights but I’m okay with that if it saves money!
roundup of affordable real touch faux Christmas Greens that are all under $200.
We get a fresh Christmas tree for our living room but sprinkle faux ones throughout the house. My two oldest daughters have this skinny faux tree while my youngest has a small table top one, which I popped into our favorite basket. I purchased both trees last year and our tall skinny one is perfect for a corner. These four trees caught my eye and range between $100-$200 and maybe, just maybe tree number one made it into my shopping cart!
Last year I used fresh garland on our staircase. The smell was divine for a week and then it dried up. I tried misting but nothing brought it back. By Christmas I was left with a wilted brittle mess of a garland. I promised myself I would invest in ‘real touch’ garland for the following season. After some searching I settled on Alforal Norfolk Pine and let me tell you, this garland does not disappoint!
One of my favorite ways to add instant Christmas cheer is hanging a faux wreath on an interior window, above a bed or an a large piece of art. Last year I covered up our seasonal Nantucket print with a wreath and it was the perfect solution! I used a suction hook, like this, to hang the wreath on the artwork. These hooks also work great for glass doors.
