Easter in New England is a funny thing. Some years Spring is in bloom with budding trees and others you’re in a snowsuit while doing an Easter egg hunt. Either way, I look forward to putting their baskets together with curated Spring goodies to help bring on the season.
A practical way of thinking about Easter baskets is to include items you end up buying seasonally anyways. Think swimsuit, sandals, and a coverup. Another option could be rain boots, a rain jacket, and a sweatshirt. This year the girls are getting these swimsuits and sandals since their rain gear still fits (miracles do exist)!
I also always include things like bubbles, chalk, and art supplies. We love the OOLY brand for art supplies and it just so happens that their packaging fits perfectly with a Spring theme!
If there’s still room, I finish off the basket with an accessory, book, or stuffed animal. We’re drowning in stuffed animals but I can’t seem to help myself when it comes to Cuddle + Kind dolls! Oh, and who can pass up a bunny ear headband? Certainly, not me!
Of course, no Easter basket is complete without candy. We always make sure to grab plenty of it and some plastic eggs to fill too!
And last, you need something to put all the goodies in. I ordered these white wire baskets and they are absolutely perfect! The right size to fit all their goodies and will last for years and years.
