The house is in total disarray and I am slightly panicking because we have eight weeks until baby makes his or her grand debut! The kitchen & bathroom are a total disaster and we have plans to move in six short weeks. I am feeling completely overwhelmed so instead of focusing on what I can’t control I am coming up with a mood board for our girls shared room!
We will be using their existing beds, rug and dresser but will pick out new bedding and accessories. I asked the girls what colors they would like to see in their bedroom and one yelled purple and the other yelled turquoise. Yikes. Not exactly the colors I lean towards but it is their room so I went on the hunt to find bedding that fit those parameters. My go to resource for kids bedding is Pottery Barn Kids and I found the perfect mix in the Kayla Rainbow duvet and the Bright Pom-Pom quilt. Finally I had a launching point for their shared room!

With simple white walls I plan on adding sconces above their beds which will be spray painted a light turquoise and paint the back of their closet and bedroom door a light shade of purple. I am thinking white textured roman shades for their windows and some pops of yellow and maybe even a really cool watercolor accent wall. But first lets see if I get the girls to sign off on my vision!
